The Jan Michael Fund

 

Recently a series of unfortunate events have struck a family in our industry.  On February 3rd of this year, Philadelphia-based trainer Don White and his family welcomed his grandson, Jan Michael, into the world, however the moment was bittersweet.

 

Jan Michael was born prematurely with extensive medical complications, including a cleft lip and palate.  As of July, the baby has undergone seven surgeries and is scheduled to have another to repair his cleft palate next year.  Currently Jan Michael cannot swallow and must be fed through a stomach tube and aspirated constantly to prevent choking.  Periodic updates and pictures can be seen at www.janmichael.net. 

 

Donations are payable by check to RTCA PA Div., Inc.  (Race Track Chaplaincy of America Pennsylvania Division), coded Jan Michael Fund, and mailed to the baby's grandparents, Don and Jane White, 2259 College Ave A-2, Bensalem, PA 19020 for record keeping purposes and for future acknowledgement and thank you. 

 

Your check will then be forwarded to the TRCA Treasurer, Don Hogeland, at 3 Harvard Circle, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 for deposit into the fund.
